Brattlifjellet in the Tamokdalen Backcountry

To say Brattlifjellet is under the radar is an understatement. Like other touring areas the approach keeps people away as they would have to pass under a few other ski tours just to get there. To be honest the area never really caught my attention until I rode by and saw the potential of the area. Though I have just scratched the surface of the area it seems there are a few aspects that would have great turns.

A closer Look at Brattlifjellet

The photo below is from a trip out to Nerotinden where I had a clear view of the East col between Brattlifjellet to the right and Sohtungáisi to the left. Once past this col you are in the remote peaks within the Swedish and Norwegian Borders.

This is the North bowl of Brattlifjellet with a clean climbing route up the right hand side.

Here is the Northeast ridge of Brattlifjellet which gives you access to the East Col and the upper slopes of the East bowl on the right side.

While complex it seems there is a line through the East bowl of Brattlifjellet

Looking once again at the crux zone of the East face of Brattlifjellet from a distance. It seems there is a line through the gut but being so far away it is hard to tell.
